Do you have any pets?

I grew up with a black lab named Shadow, named because she used to follow you wherever you went. I also had two rats, Ben and Socrates, one black one white. They both kept me company through my middle school years. Then when my first son wanted a pet, I got him a snake which escaped a few days after we got him and was never to be seen again. So I told my son the snake was sick and got a snake that looked exactly like the first and replaced him. Then a few weeks later that snake escaped too. Then, my girlfriend who is now my wife, got a French Bulldog who has been with us not for nine years, his name is Pilot. He likes nothing more than a walk down a busy street and have his belly rubbed by strangers.
