Where did you go to school?
I grew up in a sleepy suburb of Toronto called North York. The school I went to was literally in the park behind my home. Then I went to middle school at Don Valley JH, it was an incredible multicultural mix of Canadian, Caribbean, and Chinese students where I learned how to eat a Jamaican patty with coco bread and video games like Defender in the arcade at Peanut Plaza. My high school days were spent at A.Y. Jackson, named after the famous Group of Seven painter, that’s where my passion for the arts, specifically photography, grew. My teacher’s cousin was the famous record producer Bob Ezrin (Pink Floyd) which inspired me to spend the majority of my time learning how to play guitar and work in a dark room. I spent five years getting my four-year degree in Film, Directing and Writing at York University.
