Who do you love working with in the film and social change worlds?

I truly enjoy working with Alan Ménard, the cofounder of Green Beaver. I’ll never forget the day we toured his manufacturing facility in Hawkesbury, ON. He let me behind the scenes to let me see how his products are made, as we walked through the ingredients and the smells were overwhelming. From the various natural flavours like mint, peppermint, apple, and lavender and also seeing familiar things that I would have in my kitchen, like sea salt, everything of course organic. Alan’s transparency was inspiring as too were his products, which contain all-natural organic materials. Even the glue, cardboard, and the ink on his packaging, is sourced from environmentally conscious suppliers.
Of course, Bob Hunter, one of the founders of GreenPeace, who initially decided to sit down and listen to my ideas as a young filmmaker. Bob, although at times was jaded about the impact media can have in changing people’s habits, still encouraged me with his support to pursue projects that ultimately make an impact and inspire people to change their practices.
